During our meeting this past Tuesday with U.S. Customs a question was asked about entry type 86 which is the de minimis entry for goods under $800 being imported by one importer on one day and if PGA information is able to be processed with this entry type. The answer is yes and it should be transmitted with PGA information if applicable. Please see the below for more information on entry type 86.
Currently, shipments qualifying for de minimis treatment are subject to the release from manifest process, which cannot be used for PGA regulated commodities. Entry Type 86 will instead allow filing through ABI and can be used for PGA regulated commodities.
