Port of Savannah Hours of Operation Change

U.S. Customs and Border Protection at the Area Port of Savannah will change the hours the Customshouse is open to the public and industry from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm to 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. The Customshouse will be open Monday – Friday, except national holidats or any other calendar day designated as a holiday by Federal statute or Excutive Order. The change will be effective Novermber 1, 2019.

The Independent Freight Forwarders and Customs Brokers Association of Savannah was engaged to identify potential impacts the change in operating hours may create. The only issue tht arose was in rare instances if documents or duties needed to be submitted prior to 5:00 pm and having the ability to present to U.S. Customs and Border Protection. If this issue arises docuemnts may be presented at the CBP Operations Center, 139 Southern Blvd., Savannah, Georgia. Submission of doucmednts or duties prior to 4:00 pm at this location will not be allowed and should not be used as substitute to present documents at the U.S. Customshouse.
