Termination of Ethiopia, Guinea, and Mali from the African Growth Opportunity Act (AGOA) Program In accordance with Presidential Proclamation, dated December 23, 2021, the following sub-Saharan African countries are terminated from receiving preferential benefits under the AGOA Program, for goods entered or withdrawn from a warehouse on or after January 1, 2022. The terminated countries are Ethiopia, Guinea, and Mali. The Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) will be modified to reflect this action. U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) recognizes that the disruption in the supply chain may have ongoing impacts on the date of arrival, date of entry and corresponding date of duty calculation, however, CBP is not able to extend the AGOA termination timeframe denoted above. FDA ACE Support: Phone Service Discontinued As previously announced, the Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) ACE Support phone number has been discontinued effective January 1, 2022. Due to a low volume of calls FDA no longer supports the phone numbers associated with ACE Support. Updated ACE CATAIR Error Dictionary on CBP.GOV – Correction The ACE CATAIR Error Dictionary has been updated under the Supporting Documents tab on cbp.gov. The following have been added to the Error Dictionary: ASTERISK(“*”) NOT ALLOWED IN LINE ITM ID: In a trade filing, an asterisk (“*”) is not allowed in the any position of the Line Item Identifier. ACTION NOT ALLOWED-ENTRY TYPE CONFLICT: The Entry Number provided is not the type of entry that can be modified with this transactions. For example: a Reconciliation Entry (Type 09) cannot be modified by the AE transaction. DISTRICT/PORT OF ENTRY INACTIVE: The Port code specified in the EDI B-Record (Block) must be an active port.
