| UPDATE: Section 301 China Reinstatement of Certain Exclusions This is an update to CSMS #51469298, issued March 31, 2022. The functionality for the acceptance of the Section 301 China reinstatement of certain product exclusions under Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS) classification 9903.88.67 will be available in the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) as of 7 a.m. eastern standard time, April 12, 2022. Reminder: importers, brokers, and/or filers should refer to CSMS 39587858 (Entry Summary Order of Reporting for Multiple HTSUS when 98 or 99 HTSUS are required) for guidance when filing an entry summary in which a heading or subheading in Chapter 99 is claimed on imported merchandise. Questions from the importing community concerning ACE entry rejections involving product exclusions should be referred to their CBP Client Representative. FDA publishes YouTube video “Importing FDA-Regulated Products: The Import Process” The FDA has produced a public video outlining the general FDA import process for FDA-regulated products. This video was developed to fill a recognized gap between foreign suppliers and domestic importers/brokers on the details of the FDA admissibility process starting from declaration through the final admissibility decision. Trade partners using MQIPT not getting responses in Production Trade Partners who are connected to CBP using MQIPT and are not getting responses in Production should reach out to MQ STAFF OPS GML via email at MQSTAFFOPS@cbp.dhs.gov The issue appears to be with a DHS or Treasury Root/Intermediate at CBP. One of these certificates expired on 04/02/2022 and is causing widespread SSL certificate failures.
